August 30, 2025, NYALA, SOUTH DARFUR – On August 30, 2025, Sudan marked a significant milestone in its transitional journey with the formal inauguration of the Presidential Council in Nyala, South Darfur. In a historic and symbolic ceremony, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, took the constitutional oath, formally assuming the role of Chairman of the Council. He was joined by Abdelaziz al-Hilu, who was sworn in as his deputy, alongside the other members of the newly formed body.
